Johnston-Vermette wishes to highlight the appointment of Alexandre Bélisle as Quebec representative on the Board of Directors of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Canada (ACEC).
Mr. Bélisle holds the positions of Pipeline Engineering Manager at Johnston-Vermette and of Managing Director at Johnston-Vermette International, as well as being a director on the firm's Board of Directors. He has also chaired the Industry Committee of the Association des firmes de génie-conseil – Québec (AFG) for more than three years and he will continue to participate in meetings of the Association’s Board of Directors.
According to Luc Vermette, “the appointment of Alexandre confirms his leadership within our firm and in the field of Quebec and Canadian engineering. He embodies the renewal of consulting engineering, a sector in which matters such as ethics, social acceptability and respect for the environment are increasingly important.”
A non-profit organization founded in 1925, ACEC is the voice of Canadian consulting engineering firms, representing the commercial interests of companies providing engineering services to the public and private sectors, in terms of business, public policy, regulation and representation. ACEC is committed to a successful and sustainable consulting engineering industry, in a business environment inspiring trust.
The Association is governed by a volunteer board of directors, whose members represent each Canadian province or territory and are officers or executives of the 500 or so member firms. The representatives are selected through nominations from their 12 provincial or territorial member organizations.
